MOAR drawings I did at the Sakuracon draw meet! Uguuuu >w

Roxy Acquaristuck front and back.

Her outfit is actually a dress and the buttons are just for show.
Her dress would be made out of slightly stiffer material that holds its shape, or like something that’s been… what’s it, like starched or something to be a bit stronger?  Her material is also a bit thick.
Her shoes would be made out of leather/similar and her gloves either leather as well as like a soft but durable fabric.

This started out as doodles of the kids, to see how I felt about the outfits and if I maybe wanted to change them (so far Dirk’s is the only huge change, though Jade’s neck thing turned to a looser hoodie to look less warm)

Then I decided, as I started, that I wanted to draw the kids also based on what I believe they’d do either as a job or as their main hobby in Acquariet.

In Acquariet, I’m thinking at a young age (probably around 15 or so) kids would need to choose a place to work, and instead of highschool they’d do a work study.  At the end of it, probs at about 18, they’d either be asked to stay or be let go.

In the case of Jake on this, I imagine since he’s without guardian at all, that he’s kind of self taught himself, and has had a huge interest in the little ship things that float above the city. So he always is climbing all the way up there and trying to talk them into taking him on as an apprentice.

I just think these two would be the cutest of friends… sharin’ their scarfs and wizard larping and just being fab together yep.

So I have this world, or more specifically, a city called Acquariet.  It’s a floating city with a huge tree in the center that magically produces water—so much water in fact that most of the inner city is full of it, creating a setting similar to Venice. The outer city is more built into stone walls and, where the inner city is very well kempt and upper class-y (wow my word usage is so beautiful), the outer city is more like a ghetto.

There is a serious separation in class between the two parts of the city; those from the inner city never venture out into the outer parts, and those from the outer city would never dream of taking step into the inner.

Each part has its prejudices against the other and therefor rarely interacts.

ANYWAY

I’ve been having a huge urge to design outfits for the Homestuck Characters based on my city.. ‘cause it has a very specific style to it.  So I’ve sketched out all the kids and welp just so happens Roxy’s was on the far left which is where I started, so she’s first!

The kids (lolprobablykindaobviously) would live in the inner city while the trolls would live in outer Acquariet.
